Equinox lies on the Equator at 2,000m above sea level (ASL) in the Mt Kenya region. This provides a perfect balance of cool nights, warm days and equal day length year-round to optimise consistent volumes, colour and high quality.

Due to the local climate and high light levels at the farm, Equinox grows roses with intense colours, often bi-colour varieties. Equinox has installed over 3 km of cableway “skytrain transport system” to transport roses from within each greenhouse to the grading shed with minimal handling and maximum speed to improve efficiency, quality and freshness.Equinox has developed field “fogging” systems located above the crop rows to regulate the relative humidity levels within greenhouses. This greenhouse “air-conditioning” system ensures optimal climate for colour and quality.
