Equinox is a member of MPS since 2013 and maintains an ‘A+’ rating for environmental responsibility on the farm. MPS ensures that Equinox is regularly audited to check performance against a rigorous international standard.
Equinox has subscribed to ISO-9001 Quality Management standard to improve further our rigorous systems and procedures leading to even better and more consistent freshness and quality.
Equinox is a Fairtrade registered Company and has established a fairtrade premium committee in accordance with the requirements of FLOCERT GmbH to allow the independent committee to determine how any funds raised through fairtrade premium are distributed to improve the lives of our workers and the local communities where they live.
Equinox has undertaken a full “Carbon Footprint Validation” and achieved the Carbon Neutral Gold Standard with “One Carbon World”. Where Equinox has an excess Carbon footprint, these credits are off-set on the IHS Market Carbon Credit Registry.
Equinox is a full member of The Kenya Flower Standard and audited to the achievement of “Silver Standard” (GLOBASLG.A.P. IFA Ver.5.2, Scope Flowers and Ornamentals). This full farm standard is of the highest standard in the global flower industry on sustainability, Environmental impact, Social responsibility and GLOBALG.A.P certification.
Equinox also participates in the Climate Neutral Now initiative as a signatory to the Climate Neutral Now pledge. Climate Neutral Now is an initiative launched by the UN Climate Change in 2015, aiming at encouraging and supporting all levels of society to take climate action to achieve a climate neutral world by mid-century, as enshrined in the Paris Agreement adopted the same year.
